ORCA-Fusion BTは、GenⅢ背面照射型CMOSセンサを採用。ORCA-Fusionの特性である低い読み出しノイズをそのままに、量子効率も上げることでさらに飛躍的にS/Nを向上しました。

既存のORCA-Fusionでは、従来のGenⅡCMOSカメラに比べ読み出しノイズを半減することで、高いS/Nを実現しました。
今回開発したORCA-Fusion BTでは、GenⅢ背面照射型CMOSセンサを採用。ORCA-Fusion特性である低い読み出しノイズをそのままに、量子効率も上げることでさらに飛躍的にS/Nを向上しました。
低い読み出しノイズと高い量子効率を両立したORCA-Fusion BTは、より微弱な光の領域でのイメージングを可能にします。
微弱光領域だけでなく、明るい領域においても高いパフォーマンスを発揮するので、ライフサイエンスイメージングに用いられるどのCMOSカメラよりも、あらゆる光量で鮮明な画像を取得できます。
右グラフは読み出しノイズが無く、量子効率が100 %のカメラ(Perfect camera)のS/Nを1とした場合の相対的なS/Nを示しています。また暗電流ノイズが無視できる露光時間の場合での値を示しています。
より微弱な光の領域でのイメージングが可能になったことで、生細胞への励起光を抑え、退色や光毒性を低減できます。
生細胞に対してダメージの少ない長時間観察を実現します。
